Tzurot Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Tzurot, a Discord bot for conversations with AI characters, operated by an individual developer (“the operator”, “we”). By using the bot, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the bot.

These terms are subordinate to Discord’s own Terms of Service and Developer Terms; where they conflict, Discord’s terms control.

1. What Tzurot is

Tzurot lets you create and talk with AI characters inside Discord. Responses are generated by third-party AI models. The bot stores conversation context and character memory to make conversations coherent; the details are in the Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Tzurot. Chatting with characters is gated on an age confirmation, and by confirming you represent that it is true. You must also comply with Discord’s own Terms of Service and community guidelines.

3. AI-generated content

Character responses are fiction produced by AI models. They are not the operator’s statements, not professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise), and not the words of any real person, living or dead — including when a character is inspired by a real or historical figure. Models make things up. Do not rely on character output for decisions that matter; verify anything important independently.

You control what you ask for. Adult and dark themes are permitted within the bot’s safety rules; content involving minors in sexual contexts is categorically prohibited and is grounds for immediate blocking.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of what you create — personas, characters, avatars, voice references, and your messages. You grant the operator the limited rights needed to run the service: storing, processing, and transmitting that content to AI providers to generate responses, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are solely responsible for the content you upload and create, including voice-reference audio. The operator does not pre-screen user uploads. If a rights holder or affected person submits a valid legal request concerning uploaded content (for example, a copyright takedown notice), the operator will act on it — which may include removing the content or blocking the account responsible.

5. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK)

If you connect your own AI-provider API key: the key is yours, the provider relationship is yours, and usage billed to that key is your responsibility. You authorize the bot to call the provider with your key on your behalf. We encrypt stored keys and never use them for anything other than serving your requests. Usage is still logged (token counts, not content) to prevent infrastructure abuse. Provider-side data settings — for example, whether your provider may retain or train on submitted content — are part of your provider relationship and are yours to configure; the Privacy Policy describes how the operator’s own keys are configured.

6. Acceptable use

Don’t:

• use the bot for anything illegal, or to generate content that is illegal where you are;
• attempt to access other users’ data, other users’ characters’ private memories, or the bot’s infrastructure;
• spam, flood, or deliberately degrade the service (rate limits are enforced);
• misrepresent bot output as a real person’s statements;
• circumvent blocks, mutes, or age verification.

7. Moderation and termination

The operator may block or mute any user or server, silently, at any time, with or without notice — including for violations of these terms, abuse of the service, or protection of other users. Blocking ends the service relationship; your data-deletion rights in the Privacy Policy survive it.

8. Service availability

Tzurot is a personal project provided as-is, without warranty of any kind. There is no uptime guarantee, no SLA, and no commitment that features, characters, or stored data will remain available. Keep copies of what matters to you — character definitions and shapes.inc data have export commands, and /settings data export exports everything your account owns. The service may change or shut down; material changes are announced through the bot’s release notes.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the bot, including AI-generated content, data loss, or third-party provider behavior. Your sole remedy for dissatisfaction is to stop using the bot and delete your data.

10. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be announced through the bot’s release-notes channel and reflected in the “last updated” date. Continued use after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance.
